About Reveille

The Reveille Skin Line for Men is part of a quality tradition that now spans over three quarters of a century.

It began in 1909 when fourteen-year-old Oreste R. Scioscia left his home in Italy and came to America, arriving in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Having become a U.S. citizen, when war was declared in 1914, he proudly served his adopted country.

After the war, he began a career serving the needs of the Beauty and Barber professions but soon found that the products being offered fell short of their claims.

In 1925, Oreste and his new wife, Frances Sanguigni, moved to Pittsburgh where they pioneered their own Nu Vita product line, forming the Nu Vita Products Company as well as the North Side Beauty and Barber Supply.

During that time, Oreste developed Anti-Spor and Microjet - two innovative, sterilization products for barber tools which played a large role in stopping skin-related epidemics in the 1930’s. The Reveille Line of products was also introduced.

In 1968, Oreste’s son, Joseph, was able to carry the business forward under the name of Roffler Industries. He served as CEO from its inception until 1981. During that time, Joseph established Framesi USA the first cream color in the US.

In the early 1990’s, Joseph formed Jean Alexander®, Inc., also based in Pittsburgh. The family-run company manufactures and distributes high-quality hair care, skin care and hair color products for the professional salon industry.
